I've traveled far and wide to get here. For sentimental reasons I've held onto my old blogposts. If you're curious about my past this blog used to be called Canadian GirlPostdoc in America. It documented my experience as a Canadian postdoc living and working in the United States. Now I work in the biotech industry and practice buddhism. Still married to HippieHusband and we've since had an addition - our dog.

4 days?

Is 4 days true for you? I think it depends on the person and dysfunction of the family members.
It depends, if I'm left alone to my own devices then I can go longer. If its constant family time, I'm starting to reconsider booking an earlier flight at the 36 hour flight. When you put some distance between you and your family, it becomes comfortable. I miss them and I love them, but they can drive me up the damn wall sometimes.
36hrs! LOL.
Too late, filled with regret.
