"Based on the reviews, we will probably accept this manuscript for publication..."
I like the bet hedging strategy that journals take - ah well, they do have to protect themselves. Now all I have left are two house guests, monkey's cousins, and once submitted to their respective journals, I'll have a respectably productive Ph.D. My goal is to get those "house guests" kicked to the curb by the end of the summer. Surely that will be possible barring any ridiculous fast balls that the universe will throw my way.
I'm close to having that manuscript from my postdoc work drafted and hopefully sent to Dr.Add'EmUp soon.
Lately though when I come home from work, I've been watching Alias (TV show). The thing is I haven't been able to stop watching it. Even though I read all the episode summaries, I'm consumed by finishing all 5 seasons within a week. HippieHusband was stupefied that on Saturday I woke up at 7:30am and watched Alias until 3:30am the next morning.
On a different note I've managed to get couple of phone interviews for jobs in vastly different areas.
I'm thinking about a career change. Do you think the CIA would hire Girlpostdoc? Imagine the wigs I could wear....

congrats on the manuscript! You would make a totes awesome spy!
Yay for acceptance - If that feeling could be bottled I would totally become an addict!
Congrats.
Thanks SM and DG!
@SM I think I would make an awesome spy too.
I think women have the edge in the whole spy business. a. men are susceptible to female flattery, b. most of them are in positions of power, and c. women have a higher threshold for pain.
w00t!
