For all you Canadian scientists:
NSERC is holding 'town hall' meetings at Canadian Universities at the moment to discuss changes at NSERC. To protest changes to NSERC funding, attend these meetings and speak up for the funding programs that you have benefited from: two year PGS MSc funding, PhD funding, post doctoral funding, etc.
As I get information I will pass it along. The next NSERC town hall meeting is at the University of Alberta on Monday, April 27th (9:30-11:00 a.m.) in Council Chambers, 2-1 University Hall.
Go and make some noise, people.
I've traveled far and wide to get here. For sentimental reasons I've held onto my old blogposts. If you're curious about my past this blog used to be called Canadian GirlPostdoc in America. It documented my experience as a Canadian postdoc living and working in the United States. Now I work in the biotech industry and practice buddhism. Still married to HippieHusband and we've since had an addition - our dog.
